The SNTC uses records management solution software for a virtual library to streamline the storage of key documents. The focus of the database collection has been documents related to aboriginal rights and title. Also included are practical administrative documents such as agendas and meeting minutes. The virtual library archives information to assist in the research work being done by the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council staff and its member bands. This database can be accessed remotely by anyone with an assigned log in username and password. The virtual library is word searchable, user friendly, and is easy to use with little or no training.
The SNTC promotes the database as an information sharing tool for the Secwepemc communities and encourages the utilization of this technology as a way in which all of the communities can access one centralized domain for their information related to the nation. If you have any questions please contact the Data Entry Clerk at the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council.
